TOWARDS 2020 - 'Making a Difference'
The Victorian Aboriginal Health Service has a strong history, many stories and long standing legacies. Numerous people have contributed to improving the health of our people and their families and given an immense amount over the years of which we the Board would like to acknowledge and express our sincere thanks.
Our Health Service is dedicated to the memory of all those people from our communities who fought for the establishment of the service and its commitment to ongoing community development to those who continue to support the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service in accordance with the principles of community control and sovereignty. With these principles as a foundation the 2020 vision has been developed.
This Strategic Plan is unique and has been founded upon a comprehensive journey
of consultation and active engagement. The participation of the Victorian Aboriginal
Health Services community across all sectors has been a priority in developing
this plan. The Board of Directors are proud of the end result, very thankful for the
diversity of support and excited by the new direction.
We look forward to sharing the journey together and creating a today and tomorrow
that is 'Making a Difference.'
