Expression of Interest – General
If you would like to submit a general Expression of Interest (EOI), please email employment@vahs.org.au with:
- A cover letter outlining your area(s) of interest
- An up‑to‑date resume
- Contact details for two current employment referees
EOIs are kept on file for 12 months and may be reviewed as suitable positions arise. After 12 months, all EOIs are securely destroyed.

Applying for a Current Vacancy
Unless otherwise stated in the job advertisement, please follow the guidelines below.
Your Cover Letter Should Include:
- Your current name, address and contact details
- A brief explanation of why you are a suitable candidate
Your Resume Should Include:
- Your current name, address and contact details
- A summary of your career, with your most recent role first
- For each role, include: job title, employer, dates of employment, duties, responsibilities and key achievements
- Education and training, including TAFE or university qualifications and relevant subjects
- Referees: ideally two employment-related referees (supervisors or managers, not colleagues) and one character referee
- Please ensure your referees are aware and have given permission to be contacted
Assessment Process
You may be assessed on:
- Your application (cover letter and resume)
- An interview (if shortlisted)
- Referee checks (if shortlisted)
- Your right to live and work in Australia
Employment is conditional upon providing:
- A current Working with Children Check
- A current National Police Check
- Any required licences and certificates
